Students Receive Scholarship From Chamber Foundation's Career and College Expo
The Columbia County Chamber Foundation, dedicated to fostering educational and professional growth opportunities for students, organized the Columbia County Career and College Expo in March 2024. At this event, students engaged with representatives from various industries and educational institutions, gaining valuable insights into potential career paths and academic pursuits. Among the array of benefits offered, students had the opportunity to complete a registration survey and an exit survey, positioning themselves for consideration in the drawing for two scholarships generously donated by Cadence Bank and First Community Bank. Following the event, two exceptional individuals were selected as the recipients. Emily Forshee, a student from Greenbrier High School, was the recipient of the Cadence Bank scholarship, while Jacob Wilson, a student at Augusta Christian, was honored with the scholarship from First Community Bank.
