General Sales Manager
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Responsible for growth of station revenue across broadcast, digital and new revenue streams.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop a high-performing sales team that meets or exceeds revenue goals by driving client results
through creative marketing solutions.
• Develop sales strategies, plans, and alignment to support revenue goals.
• Achieve client results, satisfaction, and retention.
• Effectively manage sales operations, including inventory, Wide Orbit, Matrix, and others, as determined by the General Manager.
• Achieve strong performance of Local, Regional, and National accounts.
• Manage and control sales revenue by developing strong relationships with local clients.
• Serve as an ambassador of WFXG to the community
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
• Must have 3-5 years’ experience in TV sales management
• Hands-on TV advertising sales and operational background is a must
• Ability to meet revenue budgets via digital interactive and other approaches
• Strong and positive leadership skills.
• Exceptional digital acumen
• Highly skilled leader, negotiator, and motivator
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record compliant with our Vehicle Safety Policy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Good eyesight and hearing, ability to walk up-stairs and sometimes long distances, ability to lift equipment that may exceed 10 pounds, ability to sit for a long period of time, ability to handle often stressful situations under deadline, good manual and overall physical dexterity.
