Photojournalist
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Shoot compelling videos for fast-paced news broadcasts for multiple platforms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Shoot live news footage as well as edit footage for news shows.
Gather information, take notes as necessary, and ensure that basic information is on tape and relayed to the newscast producer.
Looks for and takes opportunities to capture compelling pictures and communicates with producers and reporters to make sure that the best pictures are taken and then used in telling stories.
Works with reporters as a team to get the best possible video to tell each story with accuracy and maximum impact.
Edits stories as assigned in a professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with non-linear edit systems and LiveU backpacks is a plus
Must be proficient in video producing and editing
At least 2-year experience as a Photojournalist, Journalism/Mass Communication degree preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record complaint with our Vehicle Driving Safety Policy
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Good eyesight and hearing, ability to walk up-stairs and sometimes long distances, ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds, ability to sit for a long period of time in a vehicle or desk, ability to handle often stressful situations under deadline, good manual and overall physical dexterity.
