General Manager

Lockwood Broadcast Group is seeking General Manager candidates for oversight for its Fox station, WFXG. WFXG is in beautiful Augusta, GA which is located on the banks of the Savannah River.  Augusta offers many options for recreation, and culinary and cultural experiences and is the home of the Master’s golf tournament.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of audience growth and increasing station profitability, will understand how to best utilize our social media and digital platforms to enhance our products, and be able to provide a positive work environment amongst team leaders and staff. 

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversight of all strategic planning and station operations  
  • Maintain company policies and federal, state, and local regulations
  • Develop and direct station activities to enhance on air and digital products while also having a positive impact on the community
  • Maintain communications with Operations hub, station staff, industry groups, viewers, and customers.
  • Motivate and mentor station staff
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent training and/or experience
  • Proven track record of developing and leading teams at television stations
  • Successful experience generating revenue while also controlling expenses
  • Proficient in all MS Office programs
